3. Product feature and application
Cylinder Head Structure
Cylinder heads are complex box - shaped parts. It is processed with inlet and exhaust door seat hole, valve guide hole, spark plug mounting hole (gasoline engine) or injector mounting hole. A water jacket, an inlet and exhaust duct and a combustion chamber or part of the combustion chamber are also cast in the cylinder head. If the camshaft is installed on the cylinder head, the cylinder head is also processed with a CAM bearing hole or a CAM bearing seat and its lubricating oil channel.
The cylinder head of the water-cooled engine has three structural forms: integral type, block type and monomer type. In a multi-cylinder engine, if all the cylinders share a cylinder head, the cylinder head is called an integral cylinder head; If each two cylinder a cover or three cylinder a cover, the cylinder head for block type cylinder head; If each cylinder is covered, it is a monomer cylinder head. The air-cooled engines are all single cylinder heads.
