▶ Introduction

The Water Well Drill Bits are brazed from a PDC tool to a steel body or substrate, which has high hardness, wear resistance and toughness. They are mainly used on construction sites and are an important machine for punching. The use of tapered roller bearings of them improve the bearing capacity and load of the drill bit, increasing the large shaft oil hole to make the bearing have better lubrication. The PDC Water Well Drill Bits have a life of 20-40 times comprared to tungsten carbide bit and also the bit efficiency is 50% higher than that of the tungsten carbide bit. They are made with PDC cutters to steel drill bit body and are used for water well and geothermal well drilling and all the bits can be made to meet different rock formation and specific drilling requirements. The appearance of the Water Well Drill Bits is relatively simple and they are easy to operate.


▶ Breaking Mechanism

The rock breaking effect of the PDC Water Well Drill Bits is done by diamond particles. In a hard formation, a single diamond is eroded into the formation under the action of drilling pressure, causing the rock to become brittle from high stress. Under the action of the broken rock, the depth of cut is approximately equal to the depth of the diamond particles entering the formation. The whole process is like“plowing the ground”and cutting the diamond drill bit.


▶ Application

The PDC Water Well Drill Bits are suitable for rock formations below f18, such as granite, limestone, sandstone, mudstone and so on. Mainly used for coal mining, water wells, geothermal wells, geological exploration, drilling, gas drainage holes, drainage holes, blast holes, etc.


▶ How to Choice PDC Bit

▷ Select PDC bits with different cross sections depending on the lithology of the formation:

① A diamond drill bit with a double-conical trapezoidal profile should be used for the softer to medium hard formation;

② Double-cone diamond drill bits should be used for hard and tight sandstone formations, limestone and dolomite;

③ B-shaped diamond drill bits should be selected for hard sandstone, dense dolomite and other strata;

④ A diamond bit with a B-wave profile should be used for the hard formation.

▷ Select the drill type according to the drillability of the formation:

① Select PDC bit when the drillability is less than 5 and the formation is soft to medium hardness;

② Use TSP drill bit when the drillability is greater than 5 and less than 8 and the formation is in the medium hardness to hard;

③ Choose natural diamond pdc drill bit when the drillability exceeds 8.
